Selection Criteria
Requirements for consideration include:
- Leadership Emphasis: Their content should have an emphasis on leadership development, management or other skills important to most leaders.
- 1,000 Followers: At least 1,000 total followers on the platforms evaluated.
- Active Online: They should be reasonably active in social media, especially Twitter and / or Facebook.
- Good Leadership Advice: There must be something in their message that aligns with servant leadership.
- Metrics: They must have a large following. It helps a great deal if they have a strong follower ratio.
- Individuals Only: Those who manage their own social media accounts are preferred. I did not list any organizations.
- Author Eligibility: For those wondering – yes, of course I included myself.

I might suggest looking at GeneralLeadership.com for some additional names of viable individuals who have accrued documented, proven leadership results derived under extremely dynamic and challenging conditions. There are some prolific servant leaders listed there who have many hundreds of thousands of followers, excellent reputations, wonderful sage advice, qualifying metrics and regular online activity. Only a suggestion…and I admit I’m biased 🙂
